I LOVE Alinea and have been a fan since far before it had national acclaim. However, it is not better than French Laundry. FL has to be in the top 10. El Bulli as #1 is so damn true. That place is a food orgasm. I’m proud that I’ve eaten at 15 of these restaurants. Hopefully 2 more by the end of 2009.

JEALOUS!  I live in chicago but I’ve yet to go to charlie trotter’s or alinea (ate at Tru - a pretty good one - the other weekend)]

El Bulli is definitely in it’s own category though - 2009 reservations are all gone (it’s a small restaurant though too)

really wanted to go there when I was in barcelona
